SK E&C wins $464 mln order from Singapore

Korean builder SK Engineering & Construction Co. (SK E&C) said Tuesday it has clinched a US$464 million deal to build two underground cable tunnels in Singapore.

Under the contract signed with SP PowerAssets Ltd, SK E&C will build communication, security, ventilation and other anti-disaster facilities in the tunnels.

Construction is scheduled to be completed by June 2018, SK E&C said.

Separately, Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. and Samsung C&T Corp. won $251 million and $205 million deals, respectively, to build underground cable tunnels in Singapore.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction said it bagged overseas deals worth $5.9 billion in the first nine months of this year. (Yonhap)
