Kim & Chang rejects Lone Star contract

The nation’s largest law firm Kim & Chang has declined a request from Lone Star to represent it in the U.S. private equity fund’s latest lawsuit against the Korean government, according to sources, Friday.

Kim & Chang’s decision not to accept the client is to shed close ties with the Texas-based buyout fund. Instead Shin & Kim will represent the company in a 2 trillion won claim for damages against the Korean government.
