U.S. carmaker Ford Motor Co. will recall 295 units of its compact Focus model in South Korea due to problems with wipers, the South Korean government said Sunday.
Subject to the recall are Focus vehicles produced between June 13 and Oct. 18 and imported by Ford's local distributor, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs said in a statement.
The inflow of water into the car's wiper may prevent its motor connector from working properly, blocking the driver's view, according to the statement.
Owners of the Focus vehicles can receive free repairs starting Monday, the ministry said. (Yonhap)
