Korea's largest automotive group Hyundai Motor Group said Monday it will deliver 260 vehicles to be used at an upcoming global summit for nuclear security and terrorism prevention.
The group, which has Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp. under its wing, said that the delivery includes its luxury Equus sedan and Starex van for leaders of the 50 nations that will attend the March 26-27 Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul.
Hyundai Motor said it will also run a maintenance team of 70 experts for checkups and repair of the cars.
The automotive group provided official vehicles for the Group of 20 summit meeting held in the capital city in 2010.
The nuclear summit is aimed at bolstering international safeguards and preventing nuclear terrorism. It was launched by U.S. President Barack Obama in 2010. (Yonhap)
