Ocean Spray eyes cranberry splash

Cranberries may be popular with Americans and Canadians in a sauce to accompany their Thanksgiving turkeys and as a popular juice choice.

However, many Koreans are unfamiliar with the fruit, although it is one of the top five used for juice in most countries. The world’s No. 1 cranberry juice maker expects the same thing will happen here.

Toward that end, Ocean Spray Vice President Arun Hiranandani said in an interview with The Korea Times this week that the Massachusetts-based company is striving to boost its presence in Asia’s fourth-largest economy.
