Workers at the country’s most attractive employer say having surfer bodies helps in riding into a successful career.
In a survey of more than 4,000 Samsung Group employees by company newsletter, ``Samsung & U,’’ about 91 percent of the respondents claimed that having hot, tight bodies will impact workplace success.
But it appears that many Samsung employees are unhappy with what they see in the mirror.
About 50 percent of those quizzed expressed frustration about their loose bellies, while another 14 percent believed their thighs and calves were too thick. There were also complaints about body strength and endurance (14 percent) and height (10 percent).
About 36 percent picked alcohol and late-night snacks as the main culprits keeping them from getting in shape. Other excuses included busy schedules (31.5 percent) and irregular eating habits (8.8 percent), while about 20 percent of the respondents admitted they lack the willpower to build attractive physiques.
Samsung’s male employees were most envious of the bodies of movie hunks like Cha Seung-won (35.1 percent), Kwon Sang-woo (25.2 percent) and So Ji-sub (19 percent). Their women counterparts favored the bodies of tall actresses and singers like Shin Min-ah (52.8 percent), Lee Hyo-lee (20.3 percent) and Choi Yeo-jin (15.2 percent).
It was unclear whether better-looking employees would help inject sexiness into Samsung smartphones and tablets.
