Naver operators earnings up 24.6% in 4th quarter

South Korea's Web portal giant NHN Corp. said Thursday its net profit jumped 24.7 percent in the fourth quarter from a year earlier thanks to increased advertisement profits.

Net income came to 133.9 billion won ($120.7 million) for the October-December period, compared with 107.3 billion won in the same quarter the previous year, NHN said in a regulatory filing.

Sales also grew 4.2 percent on-year to 386.9 billion won with operating profit rising 2.1 percent to 150.4 billion won, said the company, which operates the country's biggest online search engine Naver.com.(Yonhap)
