Consumer prices rose at a slower pace in November, mainly due to gradual decline in fresh farm product cost that triggered inflationary pressure in the past few months, a government report showed Wednesday.
According to the report by Statistics Korea, the consumer price index rose 3.3 percent last month from a year earlier. The number represents a drop from the 4.1 percent spike tallied in the previous month and slightly lower than the 3.6 percent increase reported for September.
From the previous month, consumer prices contracted 0.6 percent in November, compared with a on-month gain of 0.2 percent in October.
