The United States said Monday it will make efforts to meet President Barack Obama's deadline for the conclusion of talks on the Korea FTA before Obama flies to Seoul for a meeting of the 20 major economies on Nov. 11 and 12, Yonhap News Agency reported.
"We're going to put maximum effort into trying to resolve the outstanding issues by the time of the president's trip," Michael Froman, deputy national security adviser for international economic affairs, told a White House briefing to preview Obama's upcoming trip to Seoul for the G-20 summit.
