Nissan to recall 1,215 vehicles on defective parts

Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co. will recall a total of 1,215 vehicles sold in Korea due to problems with their directional signal lamps, the transportation ministry said Sunday.

Subject to the recall are Infiniti G35 sedans produced in Japan between August 2006 and June 2007, according to the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.

The vehicles' directional signal lights may not work due to powders produced when they are repeatedly used, the ministry said. Owners will be eligible for free repairs from Nissan-affiliated service centers starting on Monday, it added.
