UBS Hana Appoints Chin as New CEO

UBS Global Asset Management announced Wednesday that it had appointed Michael Chin as CEO of UBS Hana Asset Management, the Korean arm of the global company. Chin will take office in January 2010.

Chin joins from the UBS Investment Bank in Hong Kong where, since 2006, he had been head of Asian equities sales.

During his 13 years with UBS, Chin held a variety of senior roles, including co-head of UBS Securities, Seoul Branch. Previously, he worked in several positions in corporate finance, fixed income and equities for Lehman Brothers, Schroder & Co. and for Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, Hong Kong and Seoul.

He holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Virginia.

The current CEO of UBS Hana Andreas Neuber will remain as the chairman of the board of directors.
