Samjong KPMG, Korea's top-tier accounting company, promoted a 35-year-old accountant Monday to be one of its 120-plus partners, making him the youngest in the industry.
Kwon Young-min specializes in finance and derivatives.
Along with Kwon, Samjong promoted 21 other accountants, including the third woman to join the ranks, 41-year-old Kim Kyung-mi.
The job of a partner at an accounting company is similar to that of executives at other firms, taking over increasing administrative responsibilities and monitoring duties instead of day-to-day accounting tasks.
