DUBAI (WAM) ― Emirates Airlines will use a super jumbo A380 jet on its Seoul-Dubai route starting November, a first for South Korea. It is also the first time for Emirates to operate the state-of-the-art double-decker in Northeast Asia.
The carrier has adopted the aircraft on its routes to New York and London and plans to operate them for Sydney and Auckland soon. To Seoul, it currently runs a B777 daily.
The in-flight facilities of the luxury super jumbo jet include shower spas in the first class cabin, a lounge and a bar. Flatbed seats are in the business class, while those in the first class are equipped with a massage system.
The number of travelers between Seoul and Dubai was 37,000 in 2004, after the airline started services in 2005, the annual figure is over 260,000 now.
