As the world's economy keeps heading south, everyone seems to suffer. But a few are gaining from the recent financial crisis such as Nouriel Roubini, an economics professor at New York University.
Roubini has gained international prominence of late thanks to his 12-step doomsday scenario, which precisely predicted the ongoing recession.
This month, he is grabbing more attention by claiming the United States is in the final phases of the 12-step scenario, which means a much worse economic meltdown may be imminent.
``It is clear that the U.S. financial system is now in cardiac arrest and at risk of a systemic financial meltdown,'' Roubini said on his Web site, RGE Monitor, on Oct. 3.
``At this point, we have reached the final 12th step. Step 9 or the collapse of the major broker dealers has already widely occurred,'' the 50-year professor said.
