The Bank of Korea (BOK) Thursday announced that it will issue commemorative coins to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the National Foundation. The coins will be made of 99.9 percent silver.
The front side will be engraved with a waving national flag together with the phrase ``Great People, Miraculous History,'' while the emblem commemorating the 60th anniversary will be carved on the back.
Those who want to buy these coins can apply to purchase them in advance at Woori Bank and NH Bank from July 3 through 9.
The central bank said that the coins will be issued on Aug. 8, and may be picked up from Aug. 14.
