South Korea’s state-run electric power company has received orders for overseas power distribution facilities worth $15 million over the past five years, since it first began operating in other countries in September 2002.
According to the Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO) Wednesday, the firm has received orders worth $15 million (13.9 billion won) from seven countries in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa in the past five years.
In particular, KEPCO is working on a $7.64-million project to enhance performance of the power distribution system in Libya until early next year _ the largest consulting project for the company, which is also involved in construction of electricity facilities abroad.
