Auction, South Korea’s larger online commerce operator and Daum, one of the country’s largest web portals, said Sunday they had struck a deal to strengthen a business partnership using an ``open applied program interface’’ based on a Web 2.0 Interface.

The latest deal allows members of the Daum Internet community to check out the selling lists of Auction and buy the products at the Daum site, according to company officials from the both companies.

``We hope annual sales will increase by 30 percent as more visitors use the collaborating service,’’ Auction said in a press release.

Auction expects the deal will add more than 100 billion won to its annual sales this year as more Daum community members will be able to search and buy Auction products at its site more easily.
