Vice Commerce and Industry Minister Lee Jae-hoon departed for Azerbaijan Sunday to discuss energy and
other joint development projects in the oil-rich central Asian country.
Leading a 67-member delegation consisting of government officials and business leaders, Lee will meet with the vice economic prime minister and other senior Azerbaijan officials and business leaders to request South Korea's participation in power plants, shipyards, railroad and other infrastructural projects in the country.
Accompanying Lee are businessmen from 21 companies, including STX Eenergy, Daewoo International, GS Caltex, Daelim Industrial and Lotte Engineering and Construction.
