Kang Moo-hyun will be meeting with foreign ministry and other government officials in the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Iceland on his trip Aug. 26-Sept. 1, the ministry said Friday.
The minister is expected to aggressively seek support as the European Union has the most member countries of the International Expositions Bureau (BIE).
Yeosu, a southwestern port city, is competing with Tangiers, Morroco and Wroclaw, Poland to host the 2012 World Expo.
