Securities firms are capitalizing on artificial intelligence (AI) to create eye-catching YouTube videos that are going viral, defying the long-held view that their content is overly technical, information-heavy and stuffy, industry officials said Wednesday.
Among the most active players are Samsung Securities and Mirae Asset Securities, which have been using AI to create ads, from blockbuster-style clips to trendy music videos, helping each channel attract over 2 million YouTube subscribers.

Samsung Securities is considered a front-runner in AI-driven YouTube content, with its subscriber base reaching 2.64 million.
Its recent clip promoting mPOP, the company’s mobile trading system (MTS) app, gained significant attention with a sci-fi movie–style advertisement created entirely with AI, from actors and background music to visual effects.
“The video naturally highlights mPOP as an easy-to-use MTS app with various convenient features,” a Samsung Securities PR official said, adding that the clip’s high level of polish also made it suitable for TV broadcast.
Samsung Securities’ AI experiments don’t stop there.
Its AI-generated trot music video “Upward Life” surpassed 1 million YouTube views within just ten days of its release, and continues to draw new viewers.
The song — composed in-house using an AI music tool based on keywords such as "trot," "cheerful music" and "encouragement" — even features a fully AI-generated vocal performance.
Mirae Asset Securities, which boasts 2.19 million YouTube subscribers, has launched an English-language animation titled “Zoo Expedition.”
The film features animal characters symbolizing different investment styles embarking on an adventure to save a city in crisis, reflecting the company’s investment philosophy of teamwork and forward-looking value judgment.
The brokerage also released an F1 racing–themed commercial inspired by the 2025 blockbuster “F1: The Movie.”
The video intuitively conveys the stability and long-term investment value of government bonds for individual investors.
Amid an intense race, a driver representing the “Mirae Asset Individual Investor Treasury” maintains a steady course and ultimately wins, symbolizing the program's key advantages, such as principal and interest protection, compound interest at maturity, additional interest rates and separate taxation benefits.
“Producing advertisements using AI represents a fundamental innovation in the way brands communicate with consumers,” a Mirae Asset Securities PR official said. “We will continue to introduce differentiated content through a variety of creative experiments.”
Meritz Securities, with about 94,000 subscribers, is also incorporating AI-generated images and videos into content featuring its private bankers, enhancing both understanding and visual appeal.
Industry officials predict that AI-powered marketing campaigns will continue to expand, driven by both trends and cost efficiency.
“AI helps break away from the traditionally rigid image of the securities industry and connect more closely with younger generations — the core customer base of the future — while dramatically cutting production costs,” an industry official said.
