Uncensored Playboy coming to iPad: Hefner

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, in a message on his Twitter feed, @hughhefner, said current and back issues of Playboy would be available on the Apple device in March, according to a news report.

Hefner said on Wednesday, "Big news! Playboy ― both old & new ― will be available on iPad beginning in March," AFP said. He did not provide any more details but in response to a question from a Twitter follower Hefner said "Playboy on iPad will be uncensored," it said.

A Playboy spokeswoman said the Chicago-based company also plans to release a "non-nude" version of a Playboy-branded iPad application in the coming months that "adheres to all of Apple's policies and guidelines," the report said.

Apple has a strict policy of banning nudity in applications for the iPhone and the iPad sold through its App Store.

성인용 잡지 `플레이보이'의 설립자 휴 헤프너(84)가 오는 3월부터 애플사의 아이패드에서도 플레이보이지를 구독할 수 있게 된다고 19일 자신의 트위터를 통해 밝혔다고.

헤프너는 "엄청난 소식! 3월부터 플레이보이지 과월호, 신간 모두 아이패드에서 볼 수 있습니다"고 말했다고 AFP 통신이 전했다. 그는 더 이상 구체적인 내용은 밝히지 않았으나 한 팔로워의 질문에 “아이패드판은 무삭제판일 것"이라고 답했다고.

플레이보이는 또 수개월 내로 자사 브랜드의 아이패드 앱을 내놓을 것이라며, 이 앱은 "애플사의 모든 정책과 지침에 따르는" 만큼 "비(非) 누드판"이라고 플레이보이의 한 대변인은 밝혔고 보도는 전했다.

애플사는 앱스토어에서 판매되는 아이폰, 아이패드용 어플리케이션에 엄격한 "누드 금지" 원칙을 고수하고 있다는 것.
