Man dies after setting himself on fire at Gwanghwamun Square

A man who set himself on fire at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on Tuesday night has died in hospital, Wednesday.
According to the Seoul police, he set himself on fire in front of the King Sejong statue at 8:52 p.m. on Tuesday. He was immediately sent to a nearby hospital but died the next day during treatment. The police are trying to identify him and the cause of his death.
The fire also burnt down a container building nearby. In the video footage, smoke can be seen coming from the container. Gwanghwamun Square was busy earlier that day with events related to Busan's Expo bid and the container was set up as part of the event, according to local news outlets. No other people were injured.
