ECCK to hold intellectual property seminar Friday
By John Redmond
The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) will host a seminar on intellectual property rights (IPR) titled “Respect for Intellectual Property” at Seoul Square Building on April 25.
The event was prepared to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day — every April 26 initiated by the World International Property Organization (WIPO). The day aims to raise awareness of protecting copyrights and knowledge-based copyrights to promote innovation and creativity.
Renown experts will participate in discussions about the current state of IPR in Korea and the latest developments in the field.
Eun Joo-min, senior legal counselor at WIPO will give a presentation and join a panel moderated by Prof. Young Sun-cho of Korea University with John Kim, partner at Lee & Co, and Lisa Cechetto director of Business Development & Intellectual Property at Institut Pasteur Korea.
The ECCK is the preeminent association of European companies conducting business in or related to Korea.
Representing the common voice of the European business community in Korea, the ECCK aims to function as the platform for information exchange, effective communication channel to the Korean authorities and convener of networking opportunities for European businesses. The ECCK is a nonprofit and nonpolitical organization.
The seminar is free and will be held on the 3rd floor of Seoul Square Building from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
