Foreign Minister to Visit Beijing Next Week
Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan will visit China next week for talks on ways to bring North Korea back to nuclear talks and other bilateral issues, the foreign ministry said Thursday.
Yu will also visit a South Korean booth at the site of the Shanghai World Expo 2010, Wednesday, ministry spokesman Kim Young-sun told reporters.
He will fly to Beijing later in the day for talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.
Yu and Yang will discuss ways of improving ties between the two countries and resuming the six-party talks to end North Korea's nuclear programs, Kim said.
He will return home Friday.
