TvN's new series “Hospital Playlist” got off to a good start on Thursday with 6.3 percent viewership rating.

Producer Shin Won-ho and writer Lee Woo-jung have teamed up again, four years after “Reply 1988” in 2016. The two were behind the success of the three “Reply” series ― the other two were “Reply 1997” in 2012 and “Reply 1994” in 2013.

The new series revolves around five friends from medical school ― played by Cho Jung-seok, Yoo Yeon-seok, Jung Kyung-ho, Jeun Mi-do, and Kim Dae-myung.

The story develops as the friends come to work at the same hospital and deal with their daily lives as doctors together.

The series has whetted the appetite for producer Shin's fans, as his previous series “Prison Playbook” was a hit with a compelling and comical storyline and a heartwarming touch.

During an online media conference on Wednesday, Shin said he hopes to deliver another heartfelt story.

“I try to make dramas that people can sympathize with, so that is what I did with this one, a story that would make people laugh and feel touched,” he said.

The drama airs every Thursday at 9 p.m. and is also available through Netflix.
