Business people always need a place where they can hold a meeting in private. Dalgaebi, a traditional Korean restaurant located near City Hall Station offers not only private rooms, equipped with electronics for business meetings, but also delectable Korean traditional food.

While the Korean traditional food is somewhat too conventional for business dining, Dalgaebi is focused on the basics ― fresh ingredients and neat presentation on the plate.

“Korean food usually contain a lot of vegetables. To keep the quality of our menu high, we buy organic greens directly from Damyang, South Jeolla Province,” Dalgaebi owner Ham Jae-yeon said.

The choices are familiar. Roast king prawn and abalone are the signature dishes.

The restaurant also offers a menu for vegetarian customers given 24 hours notice.

Six private rooms, which accommodate up to 200 people, are the main reason for its popularity among business executives.

A small Conference Room sits six people; the Business Center, 10; and the Banquet Hall, 32. The three other rooms can accommodate 14, 32 and 50 each.

Internet access is available as is a screen and microphone for presentations; while laptop computers and overhead projectors can be rented.

As a “conference-house” restaurant, Dalgaebi offers the services of faxing, copying and printing out documents for customers’ convenience. Those services are not free but are provided at a reasonable price.

“There are many places such as hotels or convention centers for large size meetings or conferences, but not many for small-sized ones. Dalgaebi is for small-sized meetings with delicious traditional food not only Korean customers but for foreigners,” she said.

“Besides, we provide cozy accommodation for those foreign visitors at the meetings,” the owner said.

Dalgaebi has six rooms with eight beds that are decorated in a modern style, but seasoned with Korean elements.
