Innocean has won a license to operate digital ads at a major shopping complex in Seoul’s financial hub of Yeouido, the marketing communication company said Tuesday.
Starting from May 1, the company will start operating the ad management business at the International Finance Center (IFC) Mall located south of the river.
The company will be in charge of managing digital ads displayed at the Panorama 200 — a 200-meter-long underground walkway that connects Yeouido Station and The Hyundai Seoul department store.
Advertisers typically display strong preference for the venue, as they can exclusively use the entire digital signs set up on the wall alongside the walkway, according to Innocean. A huge number of office workers and shoppers visit the area each day, so potential advertisers can expose and effectively promote their brands by using all 42 digital signs installed along the walkway.
The latest achievement enables Innocean to build a strong business portfolio for advertising in major commercial districts in Seoul.
The company also obtained a license to display ads on a large electronic display set up at a building near Gangnam Station, the nation’s busiest station in the affluent southern area of Seoul. Innocean plans to double the size of the display so it can deliver more vivid ads.
Innocean also manages advertising at Famille Station, a space for trendy restaurants in southern Seoul.
“We are going to expand our portfolio to operate more digital outdoor ads at major footholds in Seoul,” said Kim Jae-pil, head of the firm’s media experience division. “Innocean will keep enhancing our business competitiveness by accumulating our know-how, thereby utilizing it for our future business expansion.”
