Samsung Electronics will unveil new wearable devices, rebranded under its signature Galaxy brand, when launching its latest Galaxy S10 premium smartphone in San Francisco, Feb. 20, according to media sources, Friday.

The firm will reportedly announce its Galaxy Buds wireless earbuds, an addition to the Gear Icon X, sports fitness wearable device Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Sport smartwatch.

According to Roland Quandt, a mobile device reporter at German IT website WinFuture, the wireless earbuds can be charged on the back of the Galaxy S10 because of the phone's wireless charging feature. They are expected to sell for 190,000 won ($169).

Samsung declined to comment on the report.

Samsung announced the Galaxy Watch in August 2018 when it introduced the Galaxy Note 9 in New York. The smartwatch is a follow on to the Gear S3 but Samsung rebranded it Galaxy Watch, not Gear S4. In addition to the brand integration, Samsung is expected to use the Galaxy brand for its earbuds and smart band products.

Given the Galaxy Watch is able to track about 40 types of exercises that allows users to manage their workout routines, the Galaxy Sport is also expected to support that feature. While the bezel around the screen of the Galaxy Watch can be used as a scroll wheel between apps, the Galaxy Sport is reported to instead have two buttons.

Samsung is pushing new features in the Galaxy S10 in a bid to resurrect its struggling smartphone business.

It is expected to come in three models -- the S10 lite, the S10 and the S10 plus -- depending on screen size and battery capacity. They are the first premium Samsung smartphones to feature an Infinity-O display, a full-screen panel with a small punch hole for the front camera.

It is reported that the S10 will have an in-screen fingerprint reader to unlock the device. Rumors about an in-screen fingerprint reader emerged around the launch of the Galaxy S8 in 2017.

The new smartphone is also expected to have three cameras on the back for improved picture quality.
