Coupang has clinched a deal to become an authorized online reseller for U.S. electronics firm Apple, the e-commerce company said Friday.

“Apple products, such as iPad Pro, new MacBook models and Apple Watch Series 4, can be found in Coupang's Apple Brand Store where customers can use our one-touch payment and receive fast delivery,” Coupang said.

Under the deal, Coupang customers can receive Apple devices within 24 hours through Coupang's Rocket Delivery free-next-day service.

Given that the e-commerce firm has sold more than 120 million items, and millions of retail items are available for guaranteed one-day delivery, the firms said Coupang is an ideal distribution channel for customers and Apple.

“Coupang will be an attractive purchase channel for customers who love or want to experience Apple products,” senior vice president Navid Veiseh said. “We will continue to expand the range of premium electronics brands like Apple, which, when combined with our Rocket delivery and RocketPay services, will make Coupang the first place for customers to turn when shopping for premium electronics.”

Coupang said customers who bought Apple products through the e-commerce site would receive the same warranty.

“As an authorized reseller of Apple products, shoppers can enjoy Coupang's service and trust that the products they order are genuine and authentic, carry Apple's full warranty, and come with after-sales customer service from Apple,” the firm said.

Coupang has been working to attract more brands. Millions of customers buy more than 50 items a year each through Coupang and one in every two Koreans has downloaded Coupang's mobile app. About 1.5 million items are shipped through Rocket Delivery service.
