Korean golfer Choi Na-yeon has leaped to her first top 10 spot in the world rankings in the wake of her first LPGA title last week.
Choi, 22, moved up three notches to eighth place with a point average of 6.96 in the Rolex Women's Golf Rankings as of July 5 after winning the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic in Sylvania, Ohio, ahead of Karrie Webb of Australia and Korean-American star Michelle Wie.
Choi's compatriot Kim Song-hee, the Jamie Farr runner-up, also moved up one spot to seventh with a 7.06 points.
There were no changes in the top three positions, with Christie Kerr of the United States staying in first place with 10.55 points with Ai Miyazato of Japan and Shin Ji-yai of Korea trailing on 10.39 and 9.63, respectively.
