Many people have taken their minds off what happens at PyeongChang following the closing ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics ― but not first lady Kim Jung-sook.
Since the Paralympics began on March 9, Kim has visited stadiums in PyeongChang almost every day to promote and enjoy the sporting events.
On opening day, she said she wanted to attend as many games as possible and encourage others to join her. So far, she has been doing a great job, moving many people's hearts.
On Thursday, Kim attended the Gangneung Hockey Center with Cheong Wa Dae officials to watch the men's ice hockey semifinal between Korea and Canada. There, she cheered for the players as she enjoyed the game with their families.
"I thought it would be a game just for the athletes and their families, but many people came to give support. I'm so glad," said Hwang Sun-hye, wife of ice hockey player Lee Ji-hoon.
The closing ceremony for the Paralympics will be held at the PyeongChang Olympic Stadium from 8 p.m. It is scheduled to last about two hours. The first lady, of course, is expected to be there.
