Suwon Samsung defeated Busan I’Park 1-0 in their home ground of Suwon World Cup Stadium, Sunday, in the last of the first round playoffs.

Forward Ha Tea-goon converted a pass from Yeom Ki-hoon into a goal in 47th minute of the first half, which was greeted with cheers from enthusiastic fans.

With the 1-0 win, the BlueWings will now advance to the next stage, facing Ulsan Hyundai on Wednesday at the Big Bird Stadium.

Known for their strong defense, Ulsan proved victorious against FC Seoul, Saturday, sinking them at their home ground in the Seoul Olympic Stadium. The Tigers are now on a nine-game winning streak.

The victor in Wednesday games will face K-League’s second ranking Pohang Steelers for a chance to contend against champion Jeonbuk Motors.
