A man in Scotland claims a UFO hovered just meters above his home.

John Macdonald, 63, released a photo of brightly flickering lights in a dark sky.

"It's definitely a spacecraft of some sort," he said. "I don't know whether I frightened it or not with the flash of the camera, because in the beat of a heart it was gone."

Although some claim the mysterious object is a drone, experts say it is nearly impossible to fly a drone in darkness. Macdonald also rejected the idea, saying that his experience was out of this world.

Drone pilots, including Jonathan Hall from Southport, England, backed up Macdonald. Hall said he was also convinced the object was not a drone.

"I have flown quite a lot at night and the size and shape of the lights look like no drone I have ever seen," Hall said.

However, netizens were skeptical, suggesting the photo had been graphically altered. Some said the photo resembled an empty disco hall.
