Russian warships entered the English Channel on Tuesday ahead of Russia’s planned military exercises.
The vessels from the nation’s Northern Fleet are scheduled to carry out anti-aircraft and anti-submarine drills in the North Atlantic.
Although Russian warships passing by English Channel is not unusual, the incident occurred at the time of boiling tension in regards to Russia’s military activities.
Russian news agency Interfax said more than 50 ships and submarines will take part in the exercise.
