AhnLab said Monday it is pushing its remote security controls to clients using Amazon's cloud services.
The company said it has won multiple deals from enterprise customers in the manufacturing and media content industries here since launching the service dedicated to Amazon Web Service (AWS) clients in January.
"AhnLab has offered the remote security control service for AWS clients for the first time in Korea, and has established partnerships with security providers both domestic and abroad," AhnLab's service business division executive officer Bang Ingoo said in a statement. "We will continue to provide optimal security control for users of cloud services here."
AhnLab said it has also been in discussions with diverse Internet service providers such as gaming companies and online-to-offline service companies.
"We expect extra business opportunities in these sectors in the future," the company said.
It added that the new service has been designed to help client enterprises remotely manage the security status of their cloud servers. In particular, AhnLab's computer emergency response team monitors and analyzes security information for networks and web services, it said.
"Since we launched the service, we have been receiving consultation requests from clients in diverse industrial sectors, including Internet service firms," AhnLab said. "We understand this shows that enterprises here are increasingly interested in security as cloud technologies penetrate into the industries."
