Nexon, the nation’s largest game company, said Wednesday it will launch its new mobile card game, “Mabinogi Duel,” globally by the latter half of this year.
The new mobile game has been developed by Nexon’s development affiliate devCAT Studio and will be rolled out on June 9 in Korea. The game will be available at mobile application stores including Google’s Play, Apple’s Appstore and the integrated app store of three local mobile carriers ― SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus.
“We have worked to provide entertainment of trading card games for mobile game users,” said devCAT Studio Director Kim Dong-geon during a press conference in Seoul, Wednesday.
Mabinogi Duel is based on the storylines and themes of Nexon’s online role-playing game “Mabinogi.”
In the card game, users choose cards and duel with other players through a mobile network by strategically drawing the cards, the company said.
Nexon said the new mobile game will support six languages including English, Japanese, Chinese, German, Spanish and Portuguese for overseas gamers.
