NCsoft to Release `Tabula Rasa' on Oct. 17

NCsoft will finally launch its long-awaited blockbuster sci-fi computer game ``Tabula Rasa'' on Oct. 17 in North America and Europe, the company said.

``Tabula Rasa'' is a massively multi-player online role playing game (MMORPG) developed by NCsoft's North American office, led by celebrity game designer Richard Garriott. It took six years for the firm to complete it.

Depicting galactic warfare between different species, the game is aimed at a Western audience. NCsoft said it doesn't have a plan to launch it in South Korea or other Asian countries.

A standard package is priced at $49.99 in the United States, and a collector's package will be sold at $69.99. A monthly fee of $14.99 will be charged after the first month.
