Korea Game Industry Agency Launched

The Korea Game Development & Promotion Institute (KGDI) has changed its name to the Korea Game Industry Agency (KGIA).

Founded in 1999, the government agency has served to help nurture the local game industry with various support programs as well as founding research and development centers.

With the name change, the agency plans to devote itself to the cultivation of a healthy game culture along with continued support for the industry.
