Competition for iPad: Trigem Computer, a mid-sized computer maker, announced Monday that it will release a tablet-style computer during the first half of the year, looking to get out of the gate early in the market for the handheld computing devices that is expected to be sparked by Apple’s March release of its much-anticipated iPad tablet. Trigem said its tablet will come in seven-inch and 10-inch models, and will support a variety of operating systems, including Windows CE, Linux and Android, and also support multi-tasking.
