A More Accurate Way to Read the Break
To gather information on how a putt will break, position yourself on the arc of the path the ball will take. Determine the break by crouching behind the hole as close to ground level as you can, then create in your mind a pattern that outlines the curve. Once you've picked your line from behind the cup, do the same from behind the ball. Your mental image will be more vibrant if you practice by lining the arc of the putt with golf balls, then when you're on the course, simply visualize a series of white golf balls and connect the dots. |
