Korean international midfielder Ki Sung-yueng revealed his stuffy situation on the Celtic team and expressed his hope to appear in more games, Saturday.
There is nothing to do as I cant play in official games, Ki said at the National Football Center (NFC) in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. Even if I play in practice games, I am unable to prove my prowess without playing in a (league) match, added Ki.
Ki moved to the Scottish powerhouse club in December, but since then manager Anthony Mowbray was fired and the Korean young potential has not had the chance to prove himself.
Though Ki inspired many spectators setting up two goals in the South Africa World Cup in June, new boss Neil Lennon has handled Ki the same way.
If I sit on the bench after playing nine or 10 straight games due to some weakness, I may more easily endure this tough time, but I was on the green for about 20 minutes as a substitute and sidelined for the next four or five games. This vicious cycle makes it hard, Ki said.
Ki also explained what he had mentioned on Friday about his possible transfer.
The meaning of my talking about a transfer, is my speculation whether I should remain on the team or not, Ki explained.
But, I dont have any idea about a transfer. As I still have plenty of time I will do my best, Ki said.
