Kim Yu-na of South Korea won her third figure skating Grand Prix Final title in Tokyo Saturday, nudging Japan's Miki Ando in the free skating competition.
Starting 0.56 points behind her Japanese rival, Kim skated to Concerto in F by George Gershwin, earning 123.22 points in the free skating event for an overall score of 188.86.
Ando ranked second with 185.94, falling behind Kim by 2.92 points. The third place went Japans Akiko Suzuki who earned 174.00.
Kim lost to Mao Asada of Japan in last years Grand Prix Final held in Goyang, north of Seoul. Asada failed to qualify for this years Grand Prix final.
On Saturday, Kim made mistakes in jump twice but managed to keep her form.
Ando got only 119.94 points in the free skating after making three mistaken jumps.
