The SK Wyverns defeated the Doosan Bears 8-3 Sunday in Seoul to force the final game of the second round playoffs.
In Game 4, cleanup man Park Jung-kwon hit a tie-breaking, two-run double to ignite a four-run surge in the seventh to help the Wyverns to even the series at two apiece.
The two-time defending champion will host Game 5 at Munhak Stadium in Incheon Tuesday night.
With the victory, the Kim Sung-keun's side, which faced elimination after losing the first two games at home, now has a hope of coming back to win the the-best-of-five series.
They rebounded from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Bears in the 2007 Korean Series.
The Wyverns got off to a quick start as they got a go ahead in the first inning.
After retiring the first two batters, Bears starter Kim Sun-woo walked Kim Jae-hyun, who advanced to third on Park's single, and scored home on a wild pitch.
The away team hit the former Boston Red Sox player hard in the second as they drove in two runs on three hits and one walk to make it 3-0.
The Bears, the finalists in the title matches in the past two years, canceled out the deficit in the third.
Speedy outfielder Lee Jong-wook led off the inning with a walk and stole second, while the next batter Jung Soo-bin was walked.
Second baseman Ko Young-min went deep with his third homer of the series off American hurler Gary Glover to even the game.
Ko also hit a solo shot off Glover in Game 1.
With a barrage of hits by Kim Hyun-soo and Kim Dong-joo, the Bears had another scoring chance, but left-handed reliever Jung Woo-ram got Choi Joon-suk to hit into a double play and struck out Son Si-heon to close out the inning.
In the seventh, Jung Keun-woo reached first on a shortstop error and Park Jae-sang hit a single off fourth pitcher Im Tae-hoon.
With runners on first and second, Park Jung-kwon, who had two solo shots off Im in Games 1 and 2, ripped the third offering for a double that went over leftfielder Kim Hyun-soo to put the Wyverns ahead for good.
Right-handed Ko Chang-sung took the mound, but he was not enough to stop the opponents, as Kim Kang-min hit a two-run triple for 7-3.
The Wyverns added the final run of the game on Choi Jeong's solo home run in the eighth.
In Game 3 on Saturday, the Wyverns defeated the Bears 3-1 on a Park Jung-kwon's RBI double in the 10th
