South Korea's men's team crushed Italy while the women dominated Germany in football action at the Summer Universiade in Belgrade, Serbia, Wednesday (KST).
Korea defeated Germany 4-0 in the first round Group C match of the women's tournament. Germany was expected to be a strong team after grabbing the bronze medal at the Beijing Olympic Games last summer.
South Korea dominated the game as forwards Yoo Young-ah and Chun Ga-eul scored two goals each.
On the men's side, South Korea beat Italy 2-0 with goals from Choi Hyun-tae and Yoon Young-sun.
