Lotte Giants outfielder Jung Soo-keun was suspended indefinitely by the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO).
The baseball governing body said Thursday that it would impose the punishment on Jung, who was arrested after allegedly beating his apartment janitor and a policeman under drunkenness Wednesday morning in Busan.
It is the first time for the KBO to hand down such a heavy penalty.
``His misdeed damaged the image of the KBO,'' said Ha Il-sung, the KBO's secretary general.
