Join the Camarata Music Company (CMC) in their annual holiday tradition by singing one of the most famous compositions ever written, Handel's "Messiah."
This concert has become an annual tradition in December, and has attracted a sold out audience of over 1,200 people since its inception, including Ambassadors from numerous countries, CEO's of major international corporations, government ministers, friends, family, and more. Rehearsals began on Sept. 16, and are generally from 4 -7 p.m. every Sunday. The concert this year will be held on Dec. 15, at Chungdong First Methodist Church. Anyone interested in joining should email info@camaratamusic.com, and check out their website at: http://www.camaratamusic.com for more information. If you have any questions, you can also call 010-9806-8655. To get to the CMC studio, go to Noksapyoung Subway Station, exit 2. Walk straight approximately 100 meters to the traffic lights, and veer left into Haebangchon. Walk about 400 meters (about 5 minutes), and the CMC studio will be on your left, in the same building as Family Mart. “The Camarata Music Company is a non-profit organization that provides an opportunity for people, both Korean and foreigners, to perform beautiful classical music together. With the lack of performance opportunities within Korea, we aim to provide an avenue for classical musicians to perform, hone in on their musical technique, build repertoire, and perform,” states a press release. “With members from many nationalities (currently 26 different nationalities), we hope to bring many different experiences from people of many different cultures. We also wish to provide more opportunities for the public to hear classical performances, and experience collaborative performances of people from many different nationalities.” |
