Snowplowing: Trucks carrying snowplowing equipment leave for eastern Gangwon Province, Tuesday, to help clear away the snow. A record-high snowfall hit Gangneung and other Gangwon areas, stranding hundreds of drivers on the roads, damaging houses and other structures and inconveniencing many. The heaviest snowfall in the region in a century reached more than 1 meter in Samcheok and Donghae.
