They will compete in two categories — photography and digital media arts — with up to five works. Under the theme, “Show Yourself: ASEAN self-portrait, Korean self-portrait,” the competition hopes to present the day-to-day realities of ASEAN/Korean youth, capturing ASEAN/Korean fashion, cuisine, and architecture, a press release said. Those who wish to participate have to submit their application form, artistic statement, and portfolio either online (www.webhard.net) or via mail (culture and tourism unit, ASEAN-Korea Center). Winners will be announced on the websites (www.aseankorea.org and www.aseankoreammc.com), Sept. 28, and will receive $300 each. In addition, 10 selected winners residing in ASEAN countries will be invited to visit Korea for the opening ceremony and exhibition, scheduled to be held at Seoul Museum of History on Nov. 2-11, with airfare and accommodation provided. More information on the competition is available at www.aseankoreammc.com.
