'Dead kid died again after asking for some water'

Dead toddler woke up and said before lying lifeless at his coffin once again during funeral.

Kelvin Santos, 2, was dead due to complications from bronchial pneumonia at a hospital in Para, Brazil, June 1, according to local media reports.

The next day, the boy suddenly woke up in the coffin and asked his father for some water. “I thought my son revived as a miracle,” said Antonio Santos, the boy's father.

But, the happiness was a moment. Kelvin passed away after drinking a cup of water. The family incidentally moved him to a local hospital, but the kid was completely pronounced dead because there are no signs of life.

Miracle didn’t occur though his family expected Kelvin woke up once again.

“Doctors didn’t thoroughly examine my son,” his father said. “It was definitely medical malpractice so I will make the hospital take legal responsibility.”

However, “Kelvin was already pronounced dead from heart attack in a hospital,” said a police officer.

장례식을 치르던 중 죽은 아이가 관에서 벌떡 일어나 말을 한 후 다시 사망해 의학계도 황당해하고 있다.

켈빈 산토스(2)는 지난 1일(현지시간) 브라질 파라의 한 병원에서 사망했다. 폐렴 합병증에 의한 심장마비가 사인이었다.

다음날 장례식에서 믿기지 않는 상황이 벌어졌다. 관에 누워있던 아이가 갑자기 깨어나 "아빠 물 좀 주세요"라고 말한 것. 아버지 안토니오 산토스는 "처음엔 기적이 일어나 아들이 부활한 것으로 생각했다"고 말했다.

하지만 가족의 기쁨도 잠시, 아들은 물 한 컵을 들이키고는 곧바로 숨을 거뒀다. 가족은 즉시 켈빈을 인근 병원으로 옮겼으나 의료진은 "생명의 징후가 없다"며 완전 사망선고를 내렸다.

가족은 켈빈이 또다시 부활할 것을 믿고 기다렸으나 기적은 일어나지 않았다.

아버지는 "의사들이 아들을 제대로 검진하지 않았다"고 울분을 토하며 "의료과실이 분명하다. 병원 측 책임을 묻겠다"고 말했다.

경찰은 그러나 "(켈빈이) 이미 심부전증으로 호흡이 정지돼 병원에서 사망선고를 내렸다"며 아버지의 주장을 일축했다.
