AustCham to undertake charity drive

By John Redmond

As part of a 2012 charity plan, the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AustCham Korea) is organizing a collecting of pre-loved clothing and household goods to donate to those in need in Seoul on June 30.

AustCham Korea is asking its members and friends to donate clothing, shoes, toys, books, CDs and DVDs (any language), kitchenware, household and electrical items and furniture.

All items should be clean and still usable (they cannot accept used mattresses).

Two drop off points will be at member’s houses in Itaewon and Shinchon between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Aussie refreshments will be served at these locations.

For large items, a pickup service is available.

The donated goods will be collected and given to needy families with the assistance of the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
